Chaosium's 'Secrets of Morocco' Now Shipping

Chaosium have announced that William Jones' Secrets of Morocco source book for Call of Cthuhu is now shipping out to distributors and so should be available from the usual sales locations, shortly.

Secrets of Morocco, a 1920s/30s source book about the African kingdom started out as a Chaosium MULA monograph (Mysteries of Morocco), went to being a German Call of Cthulhu publication and is now the first English language full CoC publication as a result of the monograph series.

It's released as a 128 page softback priced at $20.95 (US).

Horror on the Orient Express - Finale: 'A Fourgon Conclusion'

The culmination to an 18 month journey. The Bradford Players run through Horror on the Orient Express is complete and now available in its entirety.

Episode #34 marks the end of the campaign and the release of over 72 hours of Call of Cthulhu audio content. We'd like to say a big "Thank you" to everyone who's followed us on the adventure (also to Afterhell.com for their support) and do keep an eye out later in the year for its special release (along with Masks of Nyarlathotep) on our planned 10th Anniversary DVD.

Dig To Victory: Pagan Publishing Playtest Recording by RPPR

Role Playing Public Radio have posted an audio game recording of a playtest for Dig To Victory, a World War I trench warfare scenario for Call of Cthulhu by Pagan Publishing. The recording was made at Gen Con 2008.

'Shadows of Cthulhu': Reality Deviant's True20 Preview

Reality Deviant, one the new Call of Cthulhu licensees has released a PDF preview of Shadows of Cthulhu, their core True20 system take on Cthulhu.

Shadows of Cthulhu in conjunction with Green Ronin's True20 Adventure Roleplaying book will comprise the heart of the system, with Reality Deviant planning to release a number of supplements shortly after, including Elizabethan England, Ancient Sumeria and Elders Unleashed!

It seems Shadows of Cthulhu is near completion (proofing and Chaosium approval) so we should hopefully see it soon!

First New CoC Licensee Item Released: SGG's 'Murder of Crows'

The first product from the recent round of new Call of Cthulhu licensees has been released. Murder of Crows written by Stan! (yes there is an exclamation mark there) and published by Super Genius Games, has been made available as a PDF via DriveThruRPG, nominally priced at $7.99 (US). A print version will also be available soon priced at $12 (US).

I saw an advance copy of this Classic-era adventure at the recent Continuum convention Yog Meet. The PDF features the light use of colour, however at $12 (US) I'm going to infer that the print product will be a colour cover with black & white interior.

- and so a new era of Call of Cthulhu material begins!

Cthulhu Invictus PDF Companions

Chaosium have released two companion MULA monographs (in PDF) in support of Cthulhu Invictus, the Roman Call of Cthulhu setting.

Both the Malum Umbra and Extrico Tabula companions were written by Oscar Rios (author of Ripples from Carcosa and The Ravenar Sagas).

While it's not exactly clear from the descriptions (below) what the monographs contain, Oscar has started a couple of threads in the forums that gives a little more detail and discussion: A Sneak Peak at The First Cthulhu Invictus Companion and A Sneak Peak at The Second Cthulhu Invictus Companion.

Oscar has also provided an exclusive YSDC scenario: Mystery on Mona (PDF, 160 KB, opens in new window), set in Roman Britain on the Isle of Anglesey.

Ken Hite Releases 'Tour de Lovecraft: The Tales' at Gen Con Indy

A while ago, we picked up on the Tour de Lovecraft postings on Kenneth Hite's blog. Well, now Ken's literary criticism on H.P. Lovecraft's writings have been collected into print and PDF form with Tour de Lovecraft: The Tales, published by Atomic Overmind Press.

The book will be available at Gen Con Indy from 14th August, priced at $14.95 (US).

More PDF Cthulhu Monographs from Chaosium - Soon also in Print

Chaosium have just released two new Call of Cthulhu monographs in PDF format, Once Men and Kingdom of the Blind. Unlike other recent PDF monograph releases, these two hefty MULAs (coming in at 184 & 136 pages respectively) will also be available later in the Summer as print versions.

Once Men, written by Dr. Michael C. LaBossiere, delivers science fiction rules for Call of Cthulhu along with four adventures set in the future.

Kingdom of the Blind by Anthony Warren is a guidebook for the United Kingdom in the 20s & 30s; something that's been sorely missed since Games Workshop's 1987 publication of Green & Pleasant Land.

Bradford Players Complete 'Horror on the Orient Express'!

After a year and a half, 34 episodes and more than 3 days of continuous audio recording, the Bradford Players have just completed Chaosium's classic Call of Cthulhu campaign, Horror on the Orient Express.

On general release right now is episode #31 ("Blood, Sweat & Tears") with the investigators exploring the steamy side of the Turkish Baths in Constantinople.

Recorded in Binaural 3D Surround Sound, you can listen in at the table as if you were in the middle of it.
