This section is dedicated to playing Call of Cthulhu and related games while online.
If you're looking for electronic 'Play by Post' games of Call of Cthulhu, then visit: www.callofcthulhu.org.uk.
The Chat Room can be used for interactive/freeform play, and we've also got an online dice roller handy.
N.B. To find out all the commands in Chat, type in the following in the chat window... /?all ("forward slash questionmark all")
Also see: YSDC Chat Room Help (Commands)
A number of people also use Voice-over-IP programs like Skype to help with play, along with Keeper-aid programs such as ScreenMonkey. Further discussion of this can be found in our forums: Using Skype for online CoC.
If you can't get a group together or want to have a go with some interactive fiction then the text-based games give you a feel of what computer adventures were like back in the early-mid 1980s. :)
'Anchorhead' is overtly Loveraftian in style, while 'Theatre' has some, but fewer Lovecraftian overtones.
All the text adventures require Java to be installed in your browser. If you're on a dial-up connection it may take a minute or so for the games to load.
Want to play text-based adventures with others online? Then also check out Lovecraft Country from Skotos.net.
If you're looking to play with people in the real world, also check out the Call of Cthulhu Players' Directory.
We may sometimes do Live Streaming events (notice in advance). If we do, they can be watched via our Live Video Stream page.
