*Potential spoilers BEWARE!*
Evening all. I have recently picked up a copy of Arkham Detective Tales and think it might be what I need from upcoming convention early next year.
I particularly enjoyed reading 'The Wreck' and would be keen if anyone had any thoughts on running it or any foreseeable problems.
The time slots for the con are three hours minus the usual messing around time, so I'm a little uncertain that this particularly scenario would fit in the time limit. Anyone have any feedback on that issue?
The other issue I'm a little perplexed by is when the flashbacks occur early on in the story. Are they all when the PCs are exploring the wreck or are some later on?

I ran the scenario as a playtest.
It took three sessions (about 2-3 hours each) for my group, but my group tends to be leisurely. You might be able to present in a convention setting in enough time with some judicious management. There are some scenes that you could drop easily enough for time (such as the trip to the hospital); some of the scenes reinforce clues elsewhere or provide them if missed in other scenes.
You also have a couple of events you can use to manage pacing. When and where the group meets the former FBI agent is up to you, as is when they get invited to the island. There may be times where your players are at a loss about how to proceed or are otherwise spinning their wheels.
The Investigators should experience the flashbacks while exploring the wreck.

Thanks for the feedback. I really like the twists and turns the plot took in The Wreck, so I'll have to think carefully about whether or not to cut it back.
Anyone else have any thoughts about or experience with this and the other scenarios in the collection?
