Has anyone included other scenarios in Horror on the Orient Express moddified in a way it did not seem out of the campaign?
The Audio Game in the Downloads Section has The Auction before HotOE, any more ideas?

I have just concluded HotOE a few weeks ago and I added "The Auction" as a first scenario (relocated to London, as the Audio-game).

I did do some smaller modifications to some of the scenarios, but did not add anything in terms of complete scenarios. The major change I did was to re-write the Belgrade episode according to this link.

Good luck!

I added a scenario set in England ("The Beast in the Abbey") before the start of the campaign proper to give the investigators some Cthulhu Mythos knowledge and introduce Prof. Smith as a trustworthy source on occult/Mythos information. It probably makes things run more smoothly if you can establish him earlier.

I read "The Auction" but I didn't like it. I haven't read the Belgrade episode yet, but I will save the link to consider the changes.

As for "The Beast in the Abbey", I don't have this scenario. But maybe, my friend who is a CoC's collector has a copy of The Resurrected vol 3: Out of the Vault.

Thanks for your ideas!

I used "Death in the Post" (from Green and Pleasant Land) as a warm-up, and to establish the character of Prof. Smith. Next time, I am strongly considering using "The Gaudy" (from Christmas in Kingsport) for the same purposes.

The German version of Horror on the Orient Express also inserts three new scenarios, taking place in Paris, between Lausanne and Milan, and between Trieste and Ljubljana.

I'm planning to run "Still Water" as an introduction to myhos and use to introduce Prof. Smith.

"Still Water" I had intended to run around 8 years prior to the orient express and I'm also planning to run "The Auction" as the Bradford gamers used it a few years before starting the orient express so that the investigators are more experienced and skilled when I start Orient Express.

I have the feeling that the adventure has a very high mortality rate, and will benefit from the players and the characters being more experienced.

I had the players meet Prof Smith on the Mauretania, then ran the auction (before the BURPs players...great minds think alike and all that). I also used ...er.. the Iron Ghost I think it was (the train scenario anyway) from Fearful Passages in the middle of the campaign.

There's some audios of my game in the audio forum somewhere.
