Cecile Ann Hall was born in Quebec at the 3rd of Jan 1899. Her mother perished in childbirth, leaving Cecile close to death. She barely made it through.
In her early years, her father kept Cecile and her brother Jacob with him while he was making the family fortune. Because of her fragile nature, her father was forced to leave his daughter behind in Quebec for a few years while Jacob continued to stay close to his father.
Her fathers close friend Otto Von Hoffberg was at that time in Quebec because of work and he was living with the Hall family. This made it possible for Cecile to have a private tutor and teacher, even though Otto was not in the normal field of educational studies.
After a few years have passed, Otto had to move back to Boston and Cecile moved temporarily with him. Von Hoffberg had become like an uncle to Cecile and her father was already planning to move his company to a town close by Arkham.
In her childhood Cecile was an eager student and somewhat of a loner. Because she was having her private teacher, she did the main schooling under the strict tutoring of Otto, and didn’t meet that many people of her own age. Her brother Jacob was 5 years older than Cecile and was already part time working in their fathers company. He never saw an interest in any other career but a sailor or a captain. All he needed for his studies was to travel with his father around the world visiting in all those exotic countries.
By the time Cecile finished her basic studies and had already started a study at the University of Arkham, her father moved also to Arkham. Part of the reason behind this was because he wanted to give his daughter some kind of anchor and a feeling of security. The other part was because it was a welcoming port in his mind.
At that time Cecile moved in to their house at the W. Pickmans street. Three floors complete with attic and cellar, the house it self was a really great gift from her father. He had missed almost 2/4 of her hole life because of his work.
The house felt huge and a bit scary to live in all by herself. She had met some other students at the Arkham University and she made an agreement with them to live together in her huge house. The first person to move in was Alison Roivas. Alison was finishing her Art-studies and they had met in parties. Even though Cecile always felt a little like a lone wolf in her life, she liked Alison and her painting style was some thing that she was able to use in her projects before her graduation. Alison suggested that Georges and Bill could move in as well, and since that all 4 of them have been living in the house.
For her graduation work Cecile started a school-press. Using part of her savings for the company and it’s name and brand, she started [ Post of Interesting & Unbelievable ].The little news paper has been only appearing in the campus and it contains studies of the occult and other mysteries, ghost stories and weird happenings.
Until this date, 20 persons are ordering the news paper on a regular basis. The latest headline was “Something Fishy in Innsmouth” and it got published at the 7th of Jan 1920. It contained a detailed adventure of something weird that happened in the close town Innsmouth, but it neatly passed the core of what exactly had happened there.
Cecile is still keeping a tightly touch with Otto and she is waiting for the news about her fathers ship, that went missing 4 months ago, while travelling from China towards home in Arkham.
