The Investigators (Who are all assumed to be members of an Archaeological Society) have been given the job of investigating the origin of an odd bone found near the village of Walberswick. The bone comes from the remains of a Deep One. As the players investigate the area they may uncover a small group of Deep Ones and hybrids who are in the process of evacuating the area following the death of a collaborator ashore.

Both of the towns featured in the scenario are real locations in England that are located on the Suffolk coast not far from the historical location of the English Dunwich.
