Origin: The Yugg first appeared in Lin Carter's short story 'Out of Ages'.
Yuggs are a species of sentient flatworms found in the Cthulhu mythos, which may be of extraterrestrial origin.
Yuggs are described as white, slimy creatures with a mouth of circular teeth. Yuggs apparently have to ability to transmit genetic material through organic darts fired at a target. Yuggs spend most of their time burrowing deep below the earth's crust. The Yuggs have apparently mined a great deal valuable minerals from below the earths surface, which they may give to humans in exchange for regular sacrifices.
Yuggs have the ability to hybridize with Deep Ones (According to information in Other Nations (novel) by T. and P. Marsh); technologically advanced hybrid "Yuggya" are featured and detailed in that novel, and one is pictured on the cover of the book. Some (but not all) humans look like Yuggya, however Yuggya are not remotely human.
The tome Yuggya Chants is written in English by an unknown author, requiring about 11 weeks to study and fully comprehend, with a minor loss of sanity and minor increase of Cthulhu Mythos lore, apparently pertaining to the Yuggya and their religion (probably contact spells for Ubb, Ythogtha, and Zoth-Ommog?)
